This Privacy Policy explains how Caliche Studios ("we," "us," or "our") collects, uses, and protects your information when you use Steady - Smart Money Tracker ("App"). By using the App, you agree to this policy.

1. Data We Collect

Information You Provide Directly:

  • •Investment holdings: stock/ETF/REIT symbols, share counts, cost basis, dividend yield data

  • •Custom income assets: rental income details, CD/bond information, job income amounts

  • •App preferences: theme, language, currency, tax rate, DRIP toggle settings

  • •Profile picture (optional, stored locally on device)

  • •Recurring bills and expenses you enter

Automatically Generated on Device:

  • •Badge progress and gamification state

  • •Paper trading history and virtual positions

  • •Lesson completion progress

  • •Dividend alert preferences

  • •Warren AI conversation history

  • •Investment activity history (for badge calculations)

We do not collect: bank account numbers, brokerage credentials, Social Security numbers, government IDs, real account balances, or any authentication credentials.

All of the above data is stored locally on your device only using encrypted AsyncStorage. We have no access to it and it is never transmitted to our servers.

2. How We Use Your Data

Your data is used solely to provide app functionality:

  • •Displaying your portfolio and calculating dividend income projections

  • •Powering financial calculators (retirement, financial freedom, recession simulator)

  • •Personalizing your experience (themes, language, currency)

  • •Tracking gamification progress (badges, Snowball Score)

  • •Providing dividend payment calendar alerts via local push notifications

  • •Supporting paper trading practice

We do not sell, trade, rent, or transfer your personal data to third parties for marketing or advertising purposes.

3. Third-Party Services

The App integrates the following third-party services. Each has its own privacy policy and may collect anonymized usage data:

Finnhub (Stock Market Data) Real-time stock quotes, price history, and dividend data. We transmit stock ticker symbols to their servers. No personal information is sent. Privacy: https://finnhub.io/privacy-policy

Alpha Vantage (Stock & Dividend Data) Company overviews and historical dividend data. We transmit stock ticker symbols. No personal information is sent. Privacy: https://www.alphavantage.co/privacy-policy

Yahoo Finance (Price Data) Historical and intraday price data. We transmit stock ticker symbols. No personal information is sent.

OpenAI (Warren AI Assistant & Portfolio Scanner) User messages sent to Warren, and brokerage screenshot images submitted for portfolio scanning, are transmitted to OpenAI's servers via a secure proxy for processing. OpenAI is subject to its own privacy policy: https://openai.com/privacy

RevenueCat (Subscription Management) Manages in-app purchase subscriptions for the premium tier ($4.99/month or $47.99/year). RevenueCat may collect a device identifier and purchase history for subscription validation. No additional personal data is shared. Privacy: https://www.revenuecat.com/privacy

Cloudflare (Secure API Proxy) Portfolio scan requests and AI queries are routed through a Cloudflare Worker to keep API keys secure. An optional anonymous rate-limiting identifier may be transmitted. No personally identifiable information is sent. Privacy: https://www.cloudflare.com/privacypolicy

4. AI Features — Warren Assistant & Portfolio Scanner

Warren AI Assistant: Messages you send to Warren are transmitted to OpenAI's ChatGPT API to generate responses. Do not include sensitive personal data, account credentials, passwords, Social Security numbers, or full account numbers in Warren conversations. Warren conversation history is stored locally on your device only — not on our servers.

AI Portfolio Scanner: When you use the portfolio scan feature, a screenshot image you select from your photo library is converted and transmitted to OpenAI's GPT-4o vision model via a secure proxy for analysis. Images are not stored on our servers beyond the scope of the API request. You should crop or obscure any sensitive information before scanning.

5. Device Permissions

The App may request the following device permissions:

  • •Camera: To capture brokerage screenshots for AI portfolio scanning and to set a profile picture.

  • •Photo Library: To select existing screenshots for AI portfolio scanning and profile pictures.

  • •Face ID / Touch ID / Biometric Authentication: To lock the app with biometric security. Biometric data is processed entirely by your device's secure enclave — we never receive or store biometric data.

  • •Push Notifications (Local Only): To deliver dividend calendar reminders at 9:30 AM ET on ex-dividend and payment dates. These notifications are generated locally on your device and do not require a server connection.

You can manage or revoke these permissions at any time in your device's Settings app.

6. Data Security

Your investment data is stored locally on your device using encrypted storage. We do not operate user accounts or a backend database of personal data, and therefore do not have access to your financial information. API keys used to access third-party services are obfuscated within the app and never exposed in plain text.

While we take reasonable steps to protect the app, no method of electronic storage is 100% secure. We encourage you to enable your device's screen lock and the App's optional biometric lock for added protection.

7. Children's Privacy (COPPA)

The App is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child under 13 has provided information through the App, please contact us at calichestudiosus@gmail.com and we will take steps to delete such information.

8. Your Rights & Data Deletion

  • •Delete all data: Uninstalling the App permanently removes all locally stored data from your device.

  • •Reset data in-app: You can reset your portfolio and preferences within App Settings.

  • •Warren conversation history: Can be cleared within the Warren chat screen.

  • •Subscription management: Manage or cancel your subscription through the App Store (iOS) or Google Play (Android) account settings.

If you are a resident of California (CCPA), the European Union (GDPR), or another jurisdiction with privacy rights, you may have additional rights regarding your personal data. This App is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by any financial institution, brokerage firm, or investment company. Dividend data and stock information are provided for informational and educational purposes only and do not constitute financial, investment, legal, or tax advice. Past performance does not guarantee future results. All investment decisions are made at your own risk. Caliche Studios is not liable for any financial losses or decisions made based on information provided in the App.

Paper trading features use virtual currency and do not represent real investment activity.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The updated version will be reflected in the "Last Updated" date at the top of this document. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
